“Father of the Brides”



Good Morning Dear Friend,



“Father of the Brides”



During a conversation with a friend, we were discussing the question of life after death and about the general thoughts around death. Many people fears death to an extend pending from which way the topics being looked at. We all aim to live longer and nobody wish to go “early”. Also we often say that, “I have still some unfinished businesses therefore I cannot go right now”, well that is what we all say normally but what happens is another Person Will. His. But death should be an encouraging “thing” for a believer hence of course not everybody chose to see it that way.



I remember in my childhood, people were more committed to go to the cemetery than going to Church. Rather buying fresh flowers every week to exchange the old one at the tomb. In fact in my homeland there is a day when the people celebrate the dead. (?) I had to go once or twice with my own granny as well to the cemetery on the “dead people’s day”. That time it has seemed normal but of course it was well before I have ever heard of The Resurrection.



“Father of the Brides”



Why would this story be called the Father of the Bride? Well, I have read a very nice little piece a couple of days ago which really encourage me to never fear death again. Ever...and it might make you think a bit differently as well…



“Weddings and Burials are the same thing. At weddings we lead our God (Father) Chosen Bride to the altar. At our death our Father comes for us because we are His Bride.”



Does this make sense to you? You may of course say, it is far fetched. The groom will wed his bride and become one in a new home. A burial also could be called as a long waited “homecoming”?
