Prophecy

He lays his head upon his pillow
As he listens to the night
Then endless dreams fill his mind
As the darkness hides the light

He dreams of a lonely chapel
But no one can be found
He listens for a sign of praise
But doesn't hear a sound

He dreams he's tired and hungry
But money won't buy his feast
For upon his head no mark is found
To proclaim he serves the beast

He dreams he needs a doctor
His broken leg needs a fix
But he would only be arrested
Without the number 666

He dreams he calls his children
And says that he's not feeling well
His children turn their father in
And they take him straight to jail

He dreams they ask him one more time
To take the mark upon his head
He wakes up in an awful sweat
While trembling in his bed

This story isn't as crazy
As some would make it seem
For soon this day will happen
And it won't be just a dream
