Beginning in a family of strife, and living there for most of my life,
Uncertain was my call to glory, but now I live to tell the story,
The story of a life made new, the story of a Gentile Jew!

When Jesus bled and died for you, so that you could be made anew,
His blood was poured out on the cross, so that you would not suffer his loss,
Exalting his Son in his glory, God’s forever been telling His story,
Now come and accept the Lord’s mercy, never again do you have to be thirsty!

Grace and mercy flow from the Lord’s throne, and you never have to be alone,
Once the work had been finished by Jesus, God gave us his Spirit to free us,
Death holds no fear for the children He chooses, and not one of them He ever loses!
