A man or woman only has as much power over you as you are willing to give them

This is important It encompasses all facades of your relationships, whether it be in a marriage, patents,siblings or employers

Yes I will accept your authority over me

HOWEVER

That does not give you the right to abuse me

When someone is abusing their authority over you politely inform them they are not your master and you are not their slave
I will respect you, but you will respect me

Take your job for example if your boss lords it over you and says I AM YOUR BOSS

Politely explain “Yes, but what good is a chief with no Indians.”

You are my boss, but if you treat everyone with disrespect and they all leave you are left with a company with no workers. What good will that do you. You need me like I need you. So lets respect each other and work together” if they refuse QUIT.

If it is your parents and they say “Children are to obey parents” Remind them to read on “Yes , but it also says Parents do not anger your children .How do they do that?By the old “do as I say not as I do”
JESUS says Follow ME

Are you beginning to see the pattern? It is called “Mutual respect. I will respect you, but you will respect me as well
