Words from a Dying Boy’s Heart

Now, you all may have heard of a love story, an adventurous story, even some sad stories… but I am surely sure that you have never heard a story… quite like this one. Don’t believe me… well... why, don’t you read my story, and find out…

“Misses and Mr. Loftly,” the young nurse asked as she entered the cold, white waiting room.
“Yes, is our boy okay?” Mrs. Loftly asked starting to sob.
“I’m very sorry, but your boy Timmy, has been diagnosed with lung cancer…” As she said that, Mrs. Loftly gasped, and then started to wail. “He only has a few weeks to live, I’m very sorry.”



(Three weeks later)


“Hello Class,” said the Waterdale School’s math teacher.
“Good morning Mrs. Dudley.” All the children replied in unison.
“Well, let’s start by me asking you what the best part about your day was?” As she studied all the children, many hands flew up into the air all at once!
“Yes… Emily, let’s start with you.”
“Well, I am happy that I am here at math class today!” she said as she smirked at one of the other sleeping girls that sat next to her.
“Very nice Emily… yes… how about you Timmy! What are you thankful for this morning?”
“Well ma’am, I’m just thankful that I woke up this morning…” After that… not a single soul in that classroom wasn’t changed that day. Because those very words were the most precious thing… or words from a dying boy’s heart.
