WE ARE A FAMILY
We are a family we call “Ebenezer” —
Stone of Help....
A unique family, unlike any other;
a representative family, of every hue and culture
But one body, loving, caring and committed to one another
to be His body,
Because we are of another blood - His blood
Which makes us one.
Our family has an open door, and open hearts
For those who come, and become
One with us.
We laugh, we cry
together...
We do life
together...
Our times together, though infrequent in a busy world,
are times of celebration,
Celebrating the God who made possible
the joining of hearts and lives across all that divides
people from each other.
We are one blood, all made from one man, Adam
but remade from one Man, the second Adam
to be the body of Jesus, our Head
He once said
That he had no place to lay His head
But now
He has us...
Outside our doors are many orphaned people,
No Father to sustain them,
No family to care
Alone...in a world full of people,
Alone in their fear and guilt and shame.
We have a message that will free them
from their cruel taskmaster,
The accusing voice that torments.
We are a family
And we have a place in our hearts for them too..
