Ask, Seek, and Knock.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

I have read this verse a hundred times in the Bible, but recently this verse has taken on a new meaning to me. I have found out first hand how true this verse really is. So many times we completely miss out on the blessings that God has for us simply because we do not ask. As my pastor says “little faith, little blessings, big faith, big blessings.” If we would just come to God with confidence that He hears the prayers of the righteous I believe that we would see God work in an amazing way in the spiritual lives of ourselves and those we pray for. Just thinking about our requests doesn’t get us anywhere. We need to get down on our knees and pray to God and then wait for Him to answer because He will. Some of us simply don’t ask God for anything because we feel like we are unworthy. The truth is we are ALL unworthy, but through Jesus we have access to God and know that He hears our prayers. God wants a real and personal relationship with you, but you have to seek Him first. God will reveal Himself to you once you seek Him with all of your heart as mentioned in Jeremiah 29:13. But how do I seek Jesus you might wonder? Seek Him through His word by reading the Bible daily, seek Him by praying and asking Him to reveal Himself to you, knock and ask Jesus to come in your heart and then wait for God to reveal Himself to you like never before! Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart, will you let Him in?
