The greatest success we can have in life
The greatest achievement to gain
Is not to be wealthy or well-known
Boasting of fortune and fame.
But to have all we need
And to enjoy what we own
To love and be loved
And not spend life alone.

What more can we ask or need?
What more can we seek
Than to lie down in contentment
To dream in sweet peace.
True happiness comes from knowing
That we have what matters most.
A balance of work and play
Without paying too high a cost.

I’ll ask for no more than what I have
I’ll be thankful for what I own.
To wake each day with a smile
Content when the day is done.
