She welcomes me
with love only
a mother can give

Her eyes have seen
many years and her
her wisdom is to be treasured

She is ninety-six
and even though she shuffles
when she walks she still has strength

Her strength comes
from within and she
knows her time is short

She listens with care
and always wonders
how she can help and encourage

Thank you mom
for all the years
you have loved

Thank you for
the many years
of teaching me faith

When Jesus welcomes
you to your true home
I know you will have eternal happiness
