From young, i was brought up in a Christian family. Although i can't say that my father is a very devoted person, but he did teach me to behave well, as a Christian. That is why from young, i am cautious that my being would be in parallel with the biblical teachings. Though i still did commit numerous sins, may God cleanse my heart.

So, the thing i want to share today is something about my friend. Or to be more precise, my classmate as well as my roommate. She is a good friend. She treats me real well. Although she is not a Christian, but we still manage to be good friends. One thing bad about her, that i could hardly tolerate, is that she is very revengeful. Little things might arouse her anger and hatred, and the next thing you know, she will be cursing and planning revenge. As Christian, i could hardly accept that kind of behavior.

I know that we are not saint, and there are moments in life when we feel really pissed and offended by somebody's action or whatsoever. But, what rights do we have to hate someone so intensely? What rights do we have to take revenge on others? We are all sinners, and we know that God could not tolerate sins, as He is holy. But, for God so love the world that He sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for us. God have forgiven us. God loves us even though we are all sinners and so humble in His presence. So, aren't we suppose to learn how to forgive others, like how God forgave us? Aren't we suppose to learn how to love our enemy, as instructed in the words of God?

It is never easy, and never going to be easy to walk with the cross on our backs. There are too many temptations around us. But, the burden is on us. We should have faith in God, and follow His words. I really do not know how to advise my friend. I just feel that with all those anger and hatred in her, she is never going to be happy. And i don't want her to be sad an grumpy all the time. Frankly, it is not easy to live with someone like this. Pray that God will lead me and show me some guidance. Amen.
