“Good People…” (not for the fainthearted)

Good Morning Dear Friend,

“Good People…”

I am not sure as to how many of us are out there, who may have challenges with friends or family members who are called “Good People”, but the lug warmness of their faiths are remaining strongly evident. I was often lectured by these friends or family members saying that …”I am praying everyday and I read the Scriptures as well, what more do you want from me?” Hmm, how do you get through to this person? Dealing with traditions and religions… Maybe you know someone perhaps with this character? This little story as I have tried always with all the other as well, is judgment free. Rather just call it a heart to heart story.

“Good People…”

When I was thrown at with that question as to “What more do you want from me?”, I have explained that it was not me who wanted anything but perhaps It Was God Who Wanted something. When I was told that…”I am praying everyday and I read the Scriptures as well”, I kept quiet for a while. ..Than I Was Told to ask the question gently….
“If you read the Scripture everyday and you are praying everyday than that is great!” I said. And than I asked the question…”Do you make time to listen as well?”
Pair of eyes was looking back at me like a double sharpened sword. Took it, that my question didn’t go down well…but I have taken it on the chin.

God Does not just Expecting us to read the scriptures and pray. He Have a much better Offering to us! He IS Calling us to be in an Intimate relationship with Him. Perhaps that is where everything is need to begin (my opinion of course), than the scriptures and the praying will make a lot more Godly Sense. When I was reading the Gospel of John chapter 14, I have realized and seen the Good People again with their spiritual blindness, with their doubts or perhaps even with their disbeliefs… Hence Jesus Told to His Disciples….

“When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” (John 14;20 NLT)

And that Is His Beautiful Offering for an Intimate Relationship! And the acceptance of that will change us from just being “Good People”.

You may wonder why this little story was called “Good People”…? Well, it was said once and it will be repeated many times till He Comes Again…

“Good People… don’t go to Heaven, Believers go to Heaven!”

But we also should remain to be here for them, so one day they can be there with us too.
