RISK AVERSION is DISCOVERY DESTROYING.

Now, just in case that sounds like just so much psycho-babble here is the way we normally hear it: 'no pain, no gain'. Those weak souls who are afraid to risk anything are always in their comfort zone, and nothing is ever accomplished or discovered in your comfort zone.

In order to discover who you really are, who you really can become, what you really can accomplish; you have to put your own self at risk. Not danger type risk, but risk of ridicule and failure, is the type that most people will desperately avoid. They will live a life of mediocrity and pass on with most of their unfulfilled dreams still within them.

Whatever you do in life, don't do that. Be courageous. Be willing to fail. Be yourself. Follow your passion. Make mistakes. Learn from them. Get better. Keep at it no matter how long it takes. Then, and only then, will you finally succeed. Then, and only then, will your journey of self-discovery become more complete.

God Almighty gave you gifts and talents. Don't allow the negative, doubting, nay-sayers to steal from you the destiny that you so truly deserve. Go and take the risk and discover who and what you can become.
