GET LOST!


Don't just sit there on your bum!
Get up; there's workin' to be done!

You can't just sit there half the day,
whiling all your time away.

There's floors to mop and sinks to scrub,
and then, oh yes, rub-a-dub-dub!

The grass and weeds are oh so tall,
And crayon markings on the wall.

There is no time to sit and think,
with dirty dishes in the sink.

I can't believe you waste your time,
in reading books not worth a dime.

The work is endless, can't you see?
No time for fun or pleasantries.

You sneaky devil, go away!
God's in charge of all my day.

You have no right within my life,
to press and push and cause me strife.

You want to rob me of my joy,
and treat me as a wind-up toy.

Jesus lives inside of me,
He lived and died to set me free.

He guides me all throughout my day,
So you can't stay and have your way.

He paid my debt with highest cost,
so you ole' devil can just get lost!
