Trapped, am I,
In self-absorbed fear,
‘Cause in my room,
Alone, am I, here.

Hard, I find,
For You, to worship;
I need greatly
Loving fellowship.

I need those
Who are my kind;
Without them,
I am blind.
Reminding me,
Of what I know;
By their ways,
I’m caused to grow.

Even by those
Immature,
I am taught,
For love, endure.
For if I have
Come so far,
Will I love them,
As they are?
So, I have seen
By Your lead,
The spiritually young,
I even need.

So among us,
You remain;
Teaching us,
Our sin, refrain.

So among us,
Truth is treasured;
You’re the One,
By which we’re measured.
