“The Power of the Tongue”



How often do we actually remind our selves about the power of our tongues? What we speak is what we get, the least to say. Good or bad but we will get it.



Our prayers through our hearts and tongues shall be heard by the Almighty as long as our hearts desires and tongues speak the same.



We also often take it for granted, when we say and speak things over others. Further more, we take it for granted when we say and speak things over our selves. Again, good or bad we will get it sooner or later, my opinion of course. And based just on that, it is a choice which need to be made as to what exactly we want to use our tongues for. Think about on this just for a second….in one day you may praise, pray and worship and in the same day you could be swearing and cursing like is no tomorrow…



Coming out of a gospel concert very recently with my friends, we had to be very tolerant within the traffic when we were leaving the venue in my car due to the large crowed. Each driver tried to make it way to the gate but it was very slow. But it was worth it. The concert was great. God’s Anointing Was tangible. And within this beautiful and “high on Spirit” feeling we waited nicely for the traffic to move. But by mistake, I went front of a car which I did not intend to and a lady next to the driver in this car had a lot to say. Her window was closed so I could not hear all the beautiful Blessings she was speaking over me but I think the Lord Did Not Agree with her words.

I think I was shocked. I could not believe that a person, whom was in a concert just now, will be able to speak like that. But you know what, as much as this dear sister was upset or frustrated, it is just as easy to me or to you to forget “the power of the tongue” for a second or two. It has been days since this incident has happened and with a Prompt Call from Above, I begun to read the Book of James from the Bible and look what is in there…..a great reminder!



“Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God.” (James 3;9 NLT)
