Weather to Complain
I worked hard all week from dusk to dawn
and endured the hot weather...with sweat...
so I could book my place on the
tee...
to see whether or not....my day off
would make my golf game better or worse...???
especially .....after the long cold winter...
that I just weathered!!!!
It was not a thought.....
that I would see bad weather
it was just whether or not....God would....
cooperate and make my day off...
a reward for the sake of my game...
to keep me sane ... and on my game.
I woke up at sunrise...and to my demise
there was no sun at dawn
to make light of my game.
I could only hear the drops of rain
that echoed a crisp knock in the ear drums
next to my brain.... that only gave me pain...
So....I marched to my war chest of clubs
and grabbed the one that takes the most pain....
the one iron I never use.
I ran outside and then onto the roof to complain--
to the God who knows nothing about the game
because he made it rain...ah... #&!*
I then shouted a curse at God...
and waved my one iron in disgust...
yelling how could you ruin my day...
and ruin my game... after all the work I did
in the heat of the day...????
Then I was very shocked to find out...
with my hands smoking...
and my hair standing on edge....
that God and only God!!!!...
can surely play this game...because
Only God... can truly hit a One Iron!!!
