A Misled View

Isaiah 55:8-9, 11-12A
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways saith the Lord.
For as the Heavens are higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

So shall my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth it shall not return void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
For ye shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace.

Has there ever been a time when we misled people with our tainted view of how things ought to be? Or should I say how many people have we misled? There is a way that seem right to man but the end thereof are the ways of death. We should look within our own mind and not the mind of another to see if Jesus dwells there. Philippians 2:5; let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. If we think like Christ, purge, cleanse and purify our mind and speak what the Word says, God will move in every situation that concerns us. God responds to His Word. If we plant the Word it will draw Christ to it. John 12:32; Jesus said if I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. We are to bring our sin and the sin of the people to the Lord and leave it there. Its not for us to fix the sin in people but they should be given the Word and see the Word that can only change their hearts and mind. We put ourselves in the way too many times and people run away from us rather than run to Christ.

We have to purge our own selves everyday to keep in right relationship with God. This conduct should be repeated everyday because everyday we insert ourselves in things we have no control over. We get rid of people when we should draw them into the kingdom. We should question rather or not we are in authority to do so. How many people have we turned away and they walked away from God? Were they really treacherous or disloyal? Were their intent not to serve God? We have a very distorted view of who God really is. We seek to accomplish goals in life but it was not what God wanted. We overtake our own goals by passing by people that we think is not fit for our purposes. We also override the Holy Ghost because of the things we want in life. Its time to purge out the old mind and take up the mind of Christ.

God wants to be glorified and we must be sanctified. We should sanctify our mind that we not glory in the things of our self. We give and we take away. Where is the stability in our actions? God never gives us anything and take it away. He gave us life, our need and salvation and all is ours when we give our lives to Him. How can we then turn someone away and deny them this perfect gift?

Early on in my salvation people would come in the doors of the church drunk, dirty and stinking. The older saints would send them back out of the door. They would come again and again and was treated the same. They didn’t know why they came but knew what they needed was in the house of the Lord. They would cry to stay but they put them out anyway. Finally one day God spoke to me and I said “let them stay”. God told me “Margery you will never again call unclean what I call clean”. Since that day I look at how I view people differently. I though like the other saints did; this was no place for those dirty nasty people. I never considered myself that I also could be one of them. I was married for 18 years and was happy but I also was self righteous. After God spoke to me one day after I said “how can a person let themselves be prostituted like that”? We are not to see the person that stand before us but we are to see that they are a soul for Christ to work on. We are to see as God sees; all souls are mine saith the Lord. That was twenty three years ago and that drunk man and those prostitutes got saved and they yet remain in the service of the Lord today. Who are we to say who will be saved? Are we Jesus Christ? Are we God? We need to seek for a higher form of vision that comes through a heightened condition of spiritual discernment that is furthered through fasting and praying. Its time we uttered the Word with a more compelling sense of restraint that God’s Divine Will can be done in our midst. We cannot draw the world; but the Word of God that was in the creation can. Who knows man better than the Creator? The problem is man loves the praise of men more than the praise of God. They set their affection on things in the earth and not on God. When we can expel a person that needs the Lord and His Word to make the change in their lives, we have conformed to the world and our mind need to be transformed again. God is love and we are to love unconditionally. It is natural for man to love but it takes the Spirit of God to be revived in us for us to love like God.

How do we view the things of God? God talking to His Prophet said in Isaiah 10:1-2; woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees. To turn aside the needy from judgment; and to take away the right from the poor of my people; that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless. We are to do no wrong to the sinner, do no violence to the stranger but entreat them as a child of God. Jesus likened the religious leaders of His day to whited sepulchers. They had false appearances of being real; being beautiful on the outside but within they were full of dead men bones. How many times we act as though we have it all together and the next person don’t? Just like them we do not judge ourselves to be misled in our views.

Misled means we are following in a wrong direction or into a mistaken action or belief. We estimate things wrongly away from the Word. Our opinions are unjust, biased, and false most times. We don’t have confidence in God like we seem to think. We always suspect that someone wants to do us wrong. Or we take on the attitude that we cannot blunder in the choices we make. We judge wrong the character or ability of another because of the misinterpretation of them that we have assumed in our own mind. Our view of things is limited to our ability to think or see. That’s why we need the Holy Ghost actively moving in our lives. Have you talked to the Holy Ghost lately to see if He is still there operating in your life? It’s time for a self examination. Inspect and survey your view to see if it is of God or not. The way we view things is the way we look at or regard something. We see outside but what is our vision like within? What are our objectives and goals relating to our purpose. Are we out to build up a kingdom here in earth or are we really striving for a place in Heaven? Have we even considered our actions to be Christ like or do we go without a mental picture?

From the standpoint or position we as people judge from is not the way God judges. If God judge us like we judge others we would all be dead now. We expect people to be perfect when we ourselves are not perfect. We expect others to be righteous when all of our righteousness is of our own perceived thoughts. Except our righteousness is of God; we cannot be righteous; we are the righteousness of God. Romans 3:10; there is none righteous no not one. Jesus Christ is the righteous Son of God that made atonement totally for mankind. He covered our sin and if we confess our sin, repent and turn and obey then we transition into His righteousness. His righteousness cause us to emulate God in our lives. Being right with God is a privilege that we all are to hunger and thirst after so that we not slip into self righteousness.

Can we live this life and think Godly all the time? No, we cannot in our own finite mind perceive all of God. But we can live holy and righteous before God. The Spirit is life because of the righteousness of Jesus Christ that was created in righteousness and true Holiness. Because of what Jesus did and who He is we can put on the new man in us by putting away everything not like God. Speak the truth, be angry but sin not, don’t give place to the devil that misguide our view and work those things that are good so we are not producing death in others by giving them our view rather than God.
