Don’t forget to remember Lot’s wife
And what caused an abrupt end to her life.
God commanded her not to look back,
And His instructions were precise and exact.
God saw fit to bring them out of sin
So that a new life for them could begin,
But Lot’s wife desired to remain
And she just couldn’t seem to refrain
From looking back to the life she left,
Or denying herself the way she felt.
This too can happen to you
If you choose to ignore what God tells you to do.
When God brings you out of destruction,
All you need to do is follow His instructions
To go in peace and sin no more;
And in return, your joy and peace, He will restore.
So when God destroys the sin-filled cities in your life,
Don’t forget to remember Lot’s wife.
