Author requests article critique

Little blessing from above
Heaven sent for us to love
Such a wonder, full of His grace
Why would ever come to such a place?

Nevertheless, we are thrilled you are here
Every moment together we will hold dear
We pray to the Lord to guide us just right
In teaching us ways to keep you in His light

The ways of this world are far from God
But through faith and prayer
He will protect you with His staff and His rod

For now let us love you, rock you and hold you
We ask the Holy Spirit to bless you and mold you
