She found it on the side of the road
When she was eight years old
A braclet with silver rainbows
That was overlaid with gold

It wasn't worth much money
But priceless, in her eyes
Nothing more than a trinket
But a treasure she'd always prize

She wore it on special occasions
Like to weddings or a dance
Anywhere she got dressed up
Or whenever she got the chance

They all went out to dinner
And forgot to check the locks
The door was open, when they got home
And they had taken, her jewlery box

The first time, she'd ever went out
And it wasn't on her wrist
The jewlery box was filled with gold
But the bracelet is what she missed

The police were called to investigate
They said, it would probably never be found
She left the room and went outside
Without ever making a sound

While walking down the darkened road
The headlights blinded her stare
When out of the corner of one of her eyes
She caught a glimpse of a glare

"That couldn't be", she thought to herself
It was even to impossible to think it
But sure enough, beside the road
Lay her beautiful, rainbow, trinket
