4/4/10 Easter Sunday Pastor Alex’s sermon:The Case for Christ Eph 1:4-5, Psalm 19:1-4, Isaiah 52:13-15, Isaiah 53:1-12, Isaiah 56:6-9

The story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus was pre-planned by God. It was not a spur of the moment idea once Adam & Eve had sinned.
God came to earth as a man and allowed Himself to die for the sins of the world. Jesus was raised from the dead on this day we celebrate Easter Sunday.
The Resurrected Christ Is ALIVE !!!

There had to be an Atonement for ours sins. Jesus paid the price according to the contract/agreement that the “wages of sin is death”. So Jesus took on death for us!
We must remember three things:

1) Our Salvation Is Guaranteed: Eph 1:4-5
Our adoption into God’s family was decided upon before Creation.

2) God Leaves a Trail : Psalm 19:1-4
If we choose to follow God, He leaves a trail for us to follow so we can understand who He is and what He has for us. We can get this knowledge because God leaves us a trail to follow Him. God’s trail is better than bread crumbs!!

3) He Did It For You: Eph 1:4-5
If we pursue God, He will show us everything. We can find God’s plan for us. We can receive the “free gift”, the forgiveness we have thru Jesus Christ. God designed the plan of Jesus’ death and resurrection for us. The plan is for us and it was made even before God made the world!
God loved us and it gave Him pleasure to die for our sins. Jesus sacrificed, took on our pain, took on our death for sin because He loves us. Jesus died for us so we can have rest from our labor, have peace and have eternal life with God!!
