Do you think about your Guardian Angel? Many of us have stories of our lives being spared, narrowly missing injury or harm, and wondering if our Angels had anything to do with the event.
In Job 1:9-10, Satan himself acknowledges that God has set a "hedge" of protection about Job. That hedge was his own Angel.
Throughout the Bible, God has sent Angels to His people to warn them and protect them.
I was twelve. My parents had thrown out an old t.v. I had a hammer and the curiosity of a twelve year old. To this day, I remember hitting the t.v. and the force with which the glass sprayed out. But, I wasn't standing in front of the t.v. I was moved out of it's way, in a safe spot away from the flying glass.
Just recently, we were going through a very difficult time. I knew I would not be able to withstand on my own the trials that I was about to endure. In my despair, I begged God to show my that He would be with me. My deal with Him was that someone the following day would show me kindness. I told God it did not have to be some earth-shattering event, just a simple act would do.
I forgot about this prayer, as lack of sleep and stress took hold of my day. Later on, I had to go out and get a bag of sand. It was very heavy, and I remember thinking to myself that I was going to have a difficult time getting it back out of the cart. As I neared my car, a man approached me. I remember thinking how out of place he looked. It was very cold, and he had on shorts, a short sleeved shirt, and loafers. He was tan and looked as though he had been to very sunny place. "Can I help you with that? I need your cart as there are none left." he told me. I said something to him as he at first struggled with the bag, and then placed it in my trunk. He did not respond. I thanked him and sat in my car. Then, I remembered my prayer, and the stranger's kind act. As I turned to look at the man again, he was gone. Was he an Angel? Not until Heaven will I be able to know. But, as I think about that day, I reflect on the fact that I didn't ask God to send an Angel. I only asked for Him to show that He would be with me through a small act. But God is bigger than us, and it is His will to give us more than we can imagine.
Remember to thank God for His protection of you and your family daily, as you meditate upon this verse:
"The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them." Psalm 34:7.

Sue, Thank you for your story. That sudden disappearance is what I have noticed supports the deed of an angel.

God once sent an angel to ptotect me as well. A friend of mine also told me how God sent three angels to protect him when two men held him at knife point.
