The human heart is fragile in its emotions. I have been wrestling with certain emotions since the past two days and in my perplexity and anguish, I asked God for a sign.

Sometimes, I do ask Him for signs and He does send me replies to discern and interpret.
However, today there was surprisingly no answer. Instead He kept on sending people to me to minister to via e.mails and phone calls, giving me the insight to soothe their woes. I was intrigued that on the day when I needed to be ministered the most, God wanted me to minister to others.

It was then that I realized that the answer was there in my heart all along. I was probably not listening to my heart closely. I just had to believe strongly in it. I felt, how could I ask God for a sign when he had given me enough clues all along? I could not expect Him to spell it out for me or provide concrete proof. I just had to understand and decipher the hidden meaning.

There was also a lesson in it for me to learn from. In ministering to others, I found that at the end of the day I had received the inner comfort which I badly needed. I had got my answer at last. The tears which were frozen in my eyes now poured down at last.

The Pharisees had also asked Jesus for signs and wonders. But, Jesus rebukes them saying that no sign will be given to them except the sign of Jonah who spent three days and nights in the belly of the fish to prefigure the three days and nights that the Son of man will spend in the depths of the earth. He concluded by saying that there was something greater than Jonah there.

The Son of God himself was present among them and yet they wanted signs. After performing countless miracles, healing the blind and crippled, feeding the five thousand , raising the dead, the people were not convinced.

He also tells the apostles that many prophets wanted to see and hear the things they were fortunate enough to be chosen to see and to hear in the presence of Jesus.

When we entertain guests, we treat them with the finest service. Yet, when God himself came into this world, He was treated so badly; He was bruised, derided and nailed to the Cross.

The most marvelous and incomprehensible sign is the Sign of Love on the Cross.
This is the Sign for all Times, the past generations, present one and the future generations yet to come.
