But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31, KJV).

Have you watched an eagle in flight? They do not flutter their wings, but glide through the air. God says that I shall mount up with wings as eagles!

I will lift up my eyes unto the Lord from whom comes my strength and my power. Without Him I am powerless; with Him I can do all things.

The Almighty God faints not; He gives me power when I am faint and weak.

However, when in Wheaton, Illinois, I grew weary though I loved my work. Sometimes, I researched in the files. Lois and I made many copies

Then Lois left on vacation. This left me as the only one in the department. The light burned out in the copier. I did not know where to order more supplies.

A man who worked there suggested I could stay home if I wished. I followed his foolish advice and lost my job. My Dad came to take me home. A friend packed and brought all my things to me. I grew weary in the battle.

Many years later, God spoke to my heart. “Lynn, I want you to write for Me. For over twenty years I have done this. In 2008 my first book came off the press.

Sometimes, things get tough. A few years ago I broke my wrist and computed with one hand. Sometime later, I came down with shingles. My daughter nursed me through.

Another time, I fell and broke my hip. My daughter flew on the plane to help me. She rises later. This gave me time to write. When hard things come in my life, God renews my strength. Then I can keep going on. I can face it with God on my side.

No matter what God gives us to do, we can get through the bad times when we turn it over to God. We can “mount up with wings as eagles.”

Dear God, Help me mount up with wings as eagles. May I soar in my walk with Thee. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
