Sunlight embraces the long-frozen field
As winter’s chill retreats and leaves behind
A new dawn, the breath of warmth
The hope of light that pushes
Through the dirt
A flower’s arms stretch skyward
Longing to be just a little closer to heaven –
The deepest desire of its heart
And mine

Oh, this is lovely. What wonderful descriptions - and I love the last line.
I like this.Great thought that the flower stretches to be closer to heaven and you also want to be closer. I love spring. There are so many lessons we can apply from spring to our christian life.
