BUTTERFLY
Molded
From Dust
by Your hand
Fearful beating heart
Against all odds
Forcing
Painfully slow
Through a birth canal
Of trial
Slimy wet
Words
Feebly sliding
Onto a page
Naked
Stripped of pretence
Butterfly
Scrunched wings
quivering
Blood slowly pumping
Into veins
Of Faith
Slowly unfolding
The effortless lift
Of wild color
Soaring higher and higher
Following God
To places only He knows
