Later in the evening, Lavender was getting dressed for her date with Jaden. Lavender pinned up her hair and her white dress she brought from Macy's was stunning. She was staring in the mirror in her pink girly lavish bathroom and she was excited about this whole Christian dating. For Jaden was a Christian himself.
Lavender was putting on her make up, with a help from her mother, Violet, who was at one point a make up artist. Violet was the greatest make up artist there was. Of course she loved her work, but she loved her family and God even more. Lavender got that grace from God and from her mother. Lavender's parents were more understanding and coud see that Lavender's desire was to go out on a date with Jaden.
Suddenly, the doorbell rung, Lavender was little nervous at the fact that this is her first date in a long time.
"Oh no," Lavender said as she cringed, "he's here! He's here!"
Lavender wanted to bite her fingernails, but she stopped herself from doing it since she just got them done earlier in the afternoon.
"Relax, Lavender," Violet smiled, "everything is going to be alright. Just trust in God,and he will be there for you."
Violet was a good mother who knew what to say to lift up Lavender's spirits.
"Oh, mom," Lavender said, "you always have something great to say."
"I'm your mother. That's my job as a mother. I wouldn't be a mother if I didn't do my job to lift you up."
"You are so right. I know that Jaden and I will have a great time tonight."
After the second doorbell rung, Violet walked to the front door and opened it. In walked Jaden in his black tux. He looked like he was about to go to the prom. But for Jaden and Lavender, it was just a dinner date.
"Hello, Jaden," Violet said, "nice tux."
"Thank you, Mrs. Logan," Jaden said as he smiled at her and had Lavender's favorite flowers in his hand. A dozen of red roses that he picked out fresh from his mother's garden. Actually, his mother suggested that he would give her the red roses. For according to her, they will make a woman feel so special. Jaden sat in the living room, waiting on Lavender to finish in the bathroom. Jaden was watching a Tru-TV show, which to him was so predictable. For one thing, watching people who parties and drink too much alcohol are bound to get into a fight with someone. Jaden tapped his foot on the nice mauve updated carpet.
Finally, Lavender came out of the bathroom, wearing Mariah Carey's perfume, and Jaden stood up, and he was just amazed on her beauty.
"Wow," he said, "you look so beautiful."
"Thank you," Lavender said as Jaden handed her the red roses, "red roses, how did you know I liked red roses?"
"Well, my mother told me that red roses will make a woman feel special."
"Thank you." Lavender said.
Lavender grabbed her black mink coat, and Jaden was being a gentleman and helped her put it on her. Jaden grabbed his coat and then grabbed Lavender's hand. Violet saw a moment in Lavender and Jaden that she wanted to take a picture of the young couple.
"Hold on for one minute," Violet said, "I want to take a picture of you two."
Violet grabbed her camera from the dining room drawer. She came back into the living room. She directed Jaden and Lavender to move closer to each other. Violet took a snapshot of the couple.
"Thank you, mom." Violet said. Lavender kissed her mother good night, and then she and Jaden took off on their date.
