GUYS KNEW WHO
THEY WERE?"

JAMES,
AND JOHN!"
(Squint.)
"HOW DID THEY

[PATIENT GAZE.]
"Who,
My child."

"MOSES!"
(Impatient squirm.)

that OTHER GUY:
THE ONE THEY
MADE THE MOVIE
ABOUT?"

[PATIENT NODDING.]
[NOD TO THE BIG
ANGEL*, WHO JUST
CAME INTO THE THRONE
ROOM AND IS NOW
KNEELING
IN FRONT OF THE THRONES.]
[HAND THE BIG ANGEL
A NOTE TO BE TAKEN
TO ARCHANGEL MICHAEL
WHO IS FIGHTING
THE BAD GUYS
IN PERSIA.]
[BIG ANGEL TAKES
THE NOTE ONTO A GOLD
PLATTER, AND TURNS
AND WALKS BAREFOOT,
SOLEMN AND STERN-FACED,
OUT OF THE THRONE ROOM.]
[TURN BACK TO GAZE
DOWN AT TALKATIVE CHILD.]
"Who was that,
Mein kin'der."

"Ya know:
CHARIOTS OF FIRE!"

[PATIENT PAUSE.]
[NOD.]
"Ah....
I see."

"WELL?
How did PETER
know who they WERE?"

[SILENCE.]

"PETER had never
seen 'The Ten Commandments'!
HOW did he know,
what MOSES looked like?"

[CHUCKLE.]

"Was MOSES
holding the ten COMMANDMENTS
on 2 STONE TABLETS?"

[SMILE.]

"And....
what was Elijah doin':
standing inside that
chariot a' FIRE?"

[SILENCE.]

"Maybe,
they were wearing
T-SHIRTS!"

"Who,
child."

"MOSES AND ELIJAH!
MAYBE THEY WERE
BOTH..
WEARIN' T-SHIRTS!
YA KNOW:
WITH THEIR NAMES
ON 'EM!"

[BURST OF LAUGHTER
FROM THE RIGHT THRONE.]

"Yeah!
And..Moses' t-shirt
has a picture of
Mount SINAI?"
(Laugh!)
"And,
Elijah's...has
a picture of a
chariot: on FIRE?"

[LAUGHTER ECHOES
THROUGHOUT
THE THRONE ROOM.]

"WELL?
See how NONE a'
this makes any SENSE?"

[NODDING.]
"I understand,
Mein kin'der."

"SO?
How can I tell,
this is the TRUTH?"

[PATIENT GAZE.]
"I'm not asking
you to understand,
My child."

"HUH?"

"I AM
just asking
you
to
believe."

a very masculine,
well-chiseled
handsome face
(but, not too
handsome),
long curly, chestnut
hair,
huge, golden-tipped
wings,
and carrying a
spectacular sword.
His beige linen
garment
hides a
magnificently
hairy chest.
