“Love is Patient”



Blessings to you Dear Friend,



“Love is Patient”



“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT)



Without a doubt, one of my favorite verse(s)…and it’s just offers so much. The amazing thing about these verses are that doesn’t matter how many times you read it, it will always make and give another understanding. Love is patient, but…..what is Love? Or rather to ask…who is Love? God Is Love. Jesus Is Love.



If you exchange the first word of each verse for Jesus it’s read like as the following…



“Jesus is patient and kind. Jesus is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Jesust does not demand its own way. Jesus is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. Jesus does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Jesus never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”



And yes, as many times I have played with these verses, I always said…wow! So awesome!



And just the other day, as I tried to explain to my son, how big is God and how small we are, another thought came through to me. Where am I in my process of trying to following God? Since I wish not to follow anybody else, ever…



Well, put your own name into those verses at the beginning of each of them just for the sake of a good wake-up call…..and it will go like this:



george is patient and kind. george is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. And normally that’s how far I get…this actually kind of explains to me how Big and Great God Is, comparing my own littleness to it.



Maybe this little story wasn’t an idea to read it only in the morning but perhaps later in the evening. Thank you for reading it.
