We are known,
By our loves and their objects;
By what motivates us,
And moves us;
By what we rejoice in,
And what grieves us.

We are known by our delights.

We are known,
By what, who, we follow;
By what we heed,
Either our drives and passions,
Or the light above,
Or the dark below.

We are not known,
By what we say,
Or what we write;
By our claim of allegiance,
Or any declaration.

We are known,
By our associations;
By whom we endear,
And to whom we’re drawn.

We know the truth,
And the lie about us.
We need not lie to Him above,
He knows all things
And we will be known,
By our destiny,
Even as He is known.
