“The Homework within”



Remember when you came home from school and you had to do your homework? Well, certainly I do remember, especially of those times when I actually tried to “dodge” my homework. But than again, sooner or later I was caught out and I had to do it with some additional works which I was so “willing” to do. And once you became a parent, you go through on this all over again but with your own kids. I do, at least with my son who is at the age of 8 years and the “homework doing thing” not exactly his favorite priority but he will get there. And in cases like that, we actually wonder as to what to do. Giving different penalties maybe? “if you don’t do this for me, I will not do that for you”. “You can forget about your playstation for a while”….etc. Sure it rings the bell for the few of us but if you don’t have this challenge, well, just stay with me anyway.



“The Homework within”



I had to explain to my boy as well, that he only makes it worse for him self if he does not do his homework. He will be missing out on the “fun part” of things because it’s could get taken away. I am not a good lecturer but I can talk to him. Straight into his little heart. And while I was doing that, it’s also hit me that whatever I am trying to do with him and for him, it is very much the same as to how we can be with God.



He Does not Demands anything from us but we still need to do our “homework’s” for Him. Seek Him. Fear Him and Love Him. When we fail any of these three homework’s to do, we will pretty much end up missing out on the “fun part” of things. We will not know and understand His Love for us. We will not experience the Awesome Beauty of His Blessings. And of course this list could continue still for a very long time.



And perhaps the correct question to ask from our selves is…”Have you done your Homework?”
