Strolling down the lane
Sides growing with wild sugar cane
The path embedded with pebbles and stones
Many died and all was left was bones
Tripped over trouble waters
I tried to make my life better
Couldn't find the bed of roses
Life might not be what one chooses
The patch of pumpkin by the road
Life's journey is wide and broad
I heard the bleating of the mountain goat
Knowledge is an unsinkable boat
That carries its master against the current
This voyage is not as sweet as blackcurrant
As long as it is in the heart
Knowledge and soul can never be apart
Bathe in the blissful sunshine
Drink the vineyard's wine
Release myself from life's vines
Make this precious moment mine
Take a snooze and relax under the birch's shade
An afternoon nap is a way to placate
Mother Nature is The Almighty's jade
Simple yet so complicate
Its charming beauty
Its sophisticated complexity
Makes one wonder its adversity
As I walked down this one way street
Caught hold of the sight of flowers and weeds
This aisle feeds on bitter and sweet
The wind carries the dandelions seeds
To the place of the unknown
Where it will be sown
And one day become renowned
I sing the song of nature's breeze
The tune of the chilly freeze
Brings back memories of the cold white sand
Blanketed my future like a barren land
It will only stay as a state of mind
Where no one could ever find
The valley ahead is full of mystery
The danger that lurks around the corner
The happiness that lingers on the canopy
But there will always be a shelter
From the pelting April shower
From the cold stormy weather
From the unknown future
Stuck between doubt and sure
In a world where temptations lure
The river flows euphorically to the sea
Cleanse my cup and filled it with tea
Make it pure and dense
Not choked with pretence
I appreciate the gift of a friend
Each and everyone is a godsend
Whenever my head is tense
I don't have to worry about the expense
The fish dance with grace
The chorus of birds in pace
The looming threat gave up the chase
The forest language can't be phrased
A secret code worth the praise
The sun shines with glory during the day
The white cotton in the sky comes out to play
But it will soon pass
The moon will beam at the grass
The stars will take their place
And grant wishes to all who gaze
They keep track the history of time
Tells it with an authentic chime
I'm just a traveller
The stars and I are similar
We're both story tellers
Both far apart as it may seem
But we're a formidable team
The crickets play their bass
The fireflies dance like charming lass
One day I too will shine
The pavement I walk will glow so fine
And it will not end with this line
