This one needs a little explanation. As you'll
see this poem is about a not so happy time
in my past. Paradox is from a collection of
mine called Teary Smiles. Teary Smiles has
a theme; overcomng hardships with the Lord.
While most of the poems in Teary Smiles
deals with moving from the tears of life into
the smiles by of course letting the Lord in to
help us, this one is a straight tear. Sorry! I'm
also sorry for the damnation of a certain word
(hope) in the poem, but as you'll see that is
why its called A Paradox - a seemingly
contradictory statement that is very possibly
true. Anyway again I'm sorry but the overall
theme of Teary Smiles is overcoming with the
Lord. Example "Romans 5:3,4, and more".

Why can't I.................................let love go
Pain is smiling............................head to toe

Why do I...............................hold this hope
Where do I........................find second dope

Holding on to...................dream that's gone
Like doing something.......you know is wrong

Yet I hang............................feeling the pain
Should let go...........................not the same

Why is insanity............................cling to me
Why don't memories.........................let it be

Damn this hope......................cause for pain
Stinging......................with each drop of rain

Open your box................Pandora once more
Letting last treasure...................out the door

Let that hope..............................fly far away
Let tomorrow be...................a wonderful day

On your box...............................you sit tight
Soul still enduring............my karmas' requites

The following definitions just in case

Pandora - a character in Greek mythology, the
first woman of the earth. Told one way, she
was given a box containing all the worlds teasures
with hope sitting on the bottom. She was told
not to open it. But she did anyway, letting all of
them escape except hope, which she just barely
caught.

Karma - actions; in relation to our actions returning
to us. Like, seeds sown, one shall reap

Requite - to make repayment

I've taken the poems of Teary Smiles, along
with 10 poetically paraphrased Bible verses that
specifically praise the Lord and set them all in
colorful art, giving them a more decorative quality.
