I thought when time went by;
that you would have forgotten about me;
but you haven't.

I thought that as the years went on;
you would get fed up with me
but you stayed by my side.

I thought that when things got tough;
I was left alone to fight my own battles;
but you stood by me all the way.

I thought that when I was down to my last penny;
you would turn your back on me; as many have before...
but instead; you opened your heart to me and fed me.

I thought that all this time with all your giving; you would grow tired;
you never have.

When God created you; He created a True Friend,
And I thank God from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you Jesus, for being that FRIEND.
