When the purpose of prosperity is lost
Idolatry and adultery comes.
When the purpose of your life is lost
Any dream and assignment goes.

You will not go empty-handed
The Egyptians you will plunder
God gave them favour as prophesied
But they forgot the purpose and made a golden calf

God gave a mighty victory in Jericho
But Achan took the accursed thing
Brought trouble to many, many people.
Revival was halted, innocent people died.

The Church was born and going strong.
The day of Pentecost saw souls’ harvest.
There was generosity and prosperity
Then Ananias and Saphira sinned to put a halt.

After the judgement they moved forward
The sin of a few affected many
A little leaven leavening the whole lump
Lord, keep me in the centre of your will.

They build their houses, left God’s in ruins
Making money, putting it in the bag full of holes.
They thought they were wise in the eyes;
But they invited a curse that caused a lick


Ex:3:21: And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:
Ex:11:3: And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.
Ex:12:36: And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

Ex:32:4: And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

Ex:32:19: And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

De:8:17: And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
De:8:18: But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Hag:1:6: Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

Mal:3:8: Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Mal:3:10: Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Jos:7:1: But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.
Jos:22:20: Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the accursed thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? and that man perished not alone in his iniquity.

Ac:5:4: Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
