I hear the cry of searching gulls
with wings stretched against the sky,
clouds pure white, billowing,
stand out against blue so bright.

In the distance crashing waves
rush the beache's length,
breezes faint changing to gusty winds,
send a message of Your strength.

Walking along the seashore
bare toes gripping at wet sand,
my path becomes a zigzag
escaping tide that rushes in.

As I bask in Your warm sunshine,
sea air crusty on my skin,
I feel Your presence surround me,
Your peace flowing within.

And out there in the horizon
where sky and sea are one,
that is where I imagine heaven.
