Ask yourself who is that face that I see
who is that looking back at me
Is it someone else that's taking my place
now who can that person be?
Who can I blame for my misfortunes
who can stop my dreams from coming true
Well it may come a shock, if it answers back
and say, take a hint, it's only you
We may put everyone in front of the mirror
coping out on the natural facts
Putting up excuses to pamper the flesh
but, the mirror always retracts
To let one know it's you and I standing there
for there is no one else around
Reflecting to us that we have a choice
rather to get up, or just stay down
Sometimes it's hard to accept the truth
when it is staring us right in the face
We try to close our eyes and avoid the question
and put something else in it's place
Our dreams are determined by what we do
it's not about what others may say
So just tell that mirror I know who I am
and go out and make your day!
Push out the negative, thoughts that come
and don't dwell on days gone by
Leave a note of thanks, on that mirror
and then give yourself a big hi-fi
