Though we are empty, you are free,
your departing is sad but it had to be.
You answered the call and took a flight
as the angel lifted you to higher heights.
God had a place prepared for you
and for all of us when our work is through.
Our hearts are heavy that you had to go
but you’re at peace it’s good to know.
The void is real and so is our sorrow,
cause you will not be a part of our tomorrow.
We miss your love and your warm smile
but we're thankful to have had you for awhile.
For all of us that was one sad day
when the angel came and led you away.
You left sweet memories of the grandest kind
for those of us who you left behind
