Requires periodic check up like an MOT
for your car if you want it to have longevity
otherwise you will suffer many breakdowns
and end up not finishing well like Solomon
Samson, Noah, Gideon, Demas, Saul…

You must be willing to make changes required
Procrastination can cost you more in the long run
Like faulty break pads that now require more money
You must change your filtering system to filter out
Gossips, doubt, unbelief, corrupt communication
And hold on to whatsoever is pure, good, praise-worthy.


Your oil needs changing for you to run smoothly
This is the oil of the anointing of the Holy Spirit
Being filled again and again until you’re overflowing
Like David, your cup running over with fresh oil
Such that every yoke of bondage is broken
And you’re moving forward ever and backwards never

As MOT exposes a car’s weakness so we must
Expose ourselves to the glare of the Holy Spirit
Knowing that covering your sin will not help
You must confess like David and forsake
Then will you be forgiven, healed and restored
Rising from the floor to fulfil destiny.

We must expose ourselves to others
For spiritual accountability, counselling
Because iron sharpens iron and we need each other
To reveal blind spot only others can see
We need to maintain our relationships
With the Lord with each other, our family.


Your spark plug must be changed too
To maintain a good spark for holy fire
So that the world will see you burn for Jesus
Your new break pad will enable you to hold on
Saying ‘No’ to any form of unrighteousness
Saying ’No’ to ungodliness and wickedness.

Without reviewing ourselves we may go in circles
Just like the Israelites wandered round and round
Our spiritual eyes may be gorged out like Samson’s
And end up an entertainer to our enemy
We must desire the word more than our daily food like job
And rise up early to pray without ceasing like Jesus..

Ro:12:11: Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
M'r:1:35: And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Ro:12:1: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Ro:12:2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Ph'p:3:10: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Ph'p:3:12: Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Ph'p:3:13: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Ph'p:3:14: I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

1Tm:4:14: Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
2Tm:1:6: Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
