Sacrifice and offering, Thou didst not desire.
What cleanses sin from deep within, is not a man-made fire.
Without the heart, our words fail us. Lips are not sufficient to save.
I stand in awe, that the only way is through the sacrifice You gave.
You graciously, mercifully did for us, what we were unable to do,
And now broken, contrite and sincere hearts, You seek to refresh and renew.

Father, I come because it is done –Your law is engraven within my heart.
Sweeter than honey and purer than gold, from it I wish never to depart.
I seek to delight, in all that is right, In all that is noble and true.
For purity, my heart desires, and purity comes from You.
Your truth is what will keep me here, secure in the foundation of Christ,
So when I’m opposed by hearts that are closed, keep me looking to the Light of Life.

I aim to speak Your truth, Oh Lord, and sing of Your faithfulness:
Of Your saving Grace, that formed this faith, of Your truth and loving kindness.
But I am weak when times get tough, and cannot stand by myself.
So reassure me Lord, when the waves are rough, that You are always and forever my help.
Surrounded I stand, and unlearned I feel, there’s so much more I need to know.
But only You will teach me truth, so show me Lord where to go.

Let all those, that trust in You say ‘LORD, be magnified!’
Through our circumstances, however they waver, Father be glorified.

If I am failing, wavering, and troubled, O’ lord – grant rest to my soul –
Put my feet back upon the rock, firmly into Your Sovereign control.
Convict and correct me, Lord don’t forget me. Show me, that Your child, I am.
That You are my Father, that You are my King, that I am Your child. I am.
Remind me of this: who I am in You, when others tactfully use dissuasion.
Affirm my conviction, in the walls of my heart, that You are my persuasion.
Yes, affirm my conviction, in the walls of my heart, that YOU are my persuasion.
