To me, there is no question about it; we need The Personal Savior as much as we need air to breathe. For many on this earth a personal savior is a myth, or a crutch, or some sort of fairy tale that Christians have come up with to make themselves feel better about life now and life in the hereafter. Even if I was a genius, I could not have come up with the idea of a personal savior to make my life better and would not want to; I would just go on like everyone else stumbling around until death takes me thinking that I would decay like an animal and that would be the end of it.
Man, in general, is too self-centered to come up with anything spiritually true and is certainly not capable of writing the Bible. Seemingly, the Bible has many authors and it was done over many years, yet it is perfectly aligned and correct on every prophecy made to date. No man or men could do this, only God who created the universe could have inspired the men to write these words with the accuracy shown. He knows the beginning from the end in all His creation, and if He says something, you can count on it to be the truth and should take notice. The Bible talks of Jesus Christ being the second person of the God-head, the Son of God, and the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Men cannot even understand the Trinity (or I should say the Triune God), how could he make something up like that, let alone write about it through many authors and in a span of hundreds of years?
Yes, there are many religions today and each one believes they are the one true one; however, not one of them has had a “prophet” die and come back to life and not one of their prophets lived a perfect life free from sin or was born of a virgin. Not one of their prophets have walked the earth and been visually seen and touched after they have died or been seen ascending up into heaven. Not one of the religions of this world focus on salvation without works and not one require a personal savior – only Christianity. All of the religions of the world are man-made and have rules and regulations in order to work your way to God, and through all that work you still have no idea if you are good enough to get there in the end.
The Bible speaks of Jesus Christ from the first verse in the first book clear through to the last book in the last verse. It tells of the love of God for His creation, how we fell short of His requirements and how He provided a Savior for us before the foundation of the earth. It tells of sin and judgment, it tells of God's patience and gives mere man the solution to his quandary. Unfortunately, many still believe that God does not exist or if He does, He did not provide a Savior (much less a Personal Savior) for our sins so that we could gain heaven and miss hell.
Man may not like God's plan, but it is the only plan for eternity. Your soul will live forever, but before your body dies, you need to decide where you plan to spend eternity. Repenting of your sins and choosing Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior is the only choice to make. Not choosing, but going on thinking there is no God or even immersing yourself in some other religion is a choice against God and a fatal mistake that will last for an eternity. God is waiting for you to choose His Son, do it and live. “But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him,” (I Corinthians 2:9).
“But if our Gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them,” (II Corinthians 4:3-4).
“We then as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation," (II Corinthians 6:1-2).
