O’ My Dear Friend

O’ God, how much loneliness
Prevails in these crowded rooms
Where people are moving like machines
And their smiles are dubbed in falsehood
The city casements are decorated with lights
And the hearts are drenched in darkness
The unthoughtful faces bring no freshness
And the stale activities are covered with rust
In such conditions O’ my dear friend
It is you alone that brings me new hopes of life.
