God's promises will always be carried out just as He promised if the conditions he gives for receiving them have been met. When one cries out for help unto the Lord in faith, they will be saved and delivered. Just as in days of old, we have the promise that the Lord will rescue the perishing and care for the dying when they look to him. He will hear all our petitions and work all things together for our good when we love him and are called according to his purpose. The answer to prayers may not be always be in the way one thinks, but it will be according to the perfect will and wisdom of God.

The Fathers of the writer of the Psalm trusted in the Lord, and it is written how He delivered them. Because they trusted in him, they were not confounded. Jesus trusted in the will of his Heavenly Father and prayed that the Father's will be done and not his own. He was made victorious by his sacrificial death and
resurrection in triumph to live forever as King of King and Lord of Lords. Because He lives, we can face each new tomorrow with blessed hope.

May we also pray and seek God's will and not our own. He who has promised to always be with us and see us through will perform all things he has promised. The old saying, "let go and let God" is so true. When we let go of our own discernment,ideas and ways and seek the Lord's will, we will feel His peace, love and joy as He supplies all our needs according to his riches in glory.

His thoughts are not our thoughts nor his ways our ways. His wisdom is perfect and his plans for us are for good and not evil, to give us an expected future. His "blessed assurance" is the best assurance this world has to offer. May He be glorified as our Savior, Lord, and soon coming King. Keep seeking and asking for God's divine will and direction, He will hear and answer.
