Sometimes you see yourself in another, 
  your desires, 
    your beliefs, 
      your convictions.
It is possible to see your heart 
  displayed in another life,
    and it strikes you like lightning,
      the thunder comes 
        with your shuddering. 

It seems the earth has shook.
  
Even their voice speaks your thoughts,     
  your feelings, 
    joys and fears.
When you learn of them
  you learn of yourself.
When they speak, 
  you feel you understand. 
Every time you see them, 
  you realize you are holding your breath.

You see yourself 
  in what you want in another,
    what you want in yourself.    

Is it any surprise then that 
  you're so drawn
    while not recognizing it at first?
After all, it is the reflection of an     
  infinite heart
    and a finite mind.
It is flesh and spirit. 
 
It is who you are. 

Thus you learn. 
  You learn of fear,
    of passion. 
You learn of human frailty
  and divine strength. 
   You learn who you are, 
     along with who they are.
  
You have learned to love.

Then you see:
  the lightning was the Father's face. 
    The thunder His voice.
 
The earth has so shook,
  because it was leveled.
