Author requests article critique

When Christmas has turned to Xmas
Music is playing, people are dancing
Gifts are given, drinks are flowing
Jesus knocks on the door
And He is turned away
Bouncer says: ‘You’re not on the guest list’
The party Boy is excluded form His party
And all the merriment is meaningless
All the running around is chasing the wind.

Lord, may you be my focus, this Christmas
Not the turkey, food and fanfare
Or presents without your presence
Lord, keep me from indulgence
Emptiness, worldliness and debt.
