I know that I strayed from Your path,
But please pardon me from Your wrath;
Do not punish or discipline,
For the iniquity and sin.

Your hand has struck me down real hard,
Fire so hot that my skin feels charred;
No healthy spot left from Your rage,
Since You have locked me in a cage.

There is no peace within my bones,
Because my sin causes my moans;
My guilt is like a heavy load,
And carried on a bumpy road.

This is much more than I can bear,
From all of the wounds that I wear;
And having such a rotten smell,
Nearly as if I came from hell.

They fester from stupidity,
Growing from the iniquity;
Causing me to bend very low,
From the weight that is from my woe.

O Lord God please forsake me not,
Your forgiveness that I have sought;
Please help me through tribulation,
To show mercy with salvation.
