Marriage originated as an idea, but whose?
It is certainly not the idea of man
It is not the idea of the society
It is not the idea of one’s chronological age
It is not the idea of religion or nature
It is not the idea of peer pressure
It is not the idea of status or position
It is not the idea of one’s parents or siblings
It is not the idea of how much money one has
It is not the idea of the educational level attained
It is not the idea of culture or tradition
It is not the idea of Satan or his agents

Yes, marriage originated as an idea, but whose?
The idea of marriage definitely originated with God
Marriage derives its origin from the heart of eternity
God saw the ultimate need for it and endorsed it
He prescribed the conditions to make it legal and lasting
He wrote the standard operating manual to regulate it
He illustrated how it may be contracted, enjoined and enjoyed
He commits Himself to all legal marriages of every culture and clime
He is the bedrock and foundation that guarantees lasting marriages

When God is the reference point
You can be sure He will preserve that Legal Contract
When He is the reference point
Be rest assured He will see you through every storm of life
When He is the reference point
Be contented to know He will preserve your home
And when He is the reference point
Know for certain that your home is secured in Him

Because the beautiful idea of marriage is of God
It means His will is effectively represented on the earth today
And because Satan is inveterately opposed to the Almighty God
Or anything which even remotely resembles His will on earth
He will fight ruthlessly to undermine the marriage institution
And he will always look for ways to discredit or repudiate it
But if your home is anchored on the Author of marriage
Surely your home shall stand the harrowing tests of time!
