Jesus of Nazareth is the Greatest Figure in History
Jesus of Nazareth can never be stopped
Jesus of Nazareth lives forever more
Jesus of Nazareth is the STAR of the AGES

Stars reveal the existence of God in a general way
Much like the moon, sun etc [Romans 1:18-20]
But the SON of GOD reveals the heart of our Heavenly FATHER
God came to earth to SAVE man

The Magi were from the east
They represented the Priestly Political class of the Parthians--
They resided east of Palestine

The Magi who came to seek JESUS had
Learned about the Jews’ Messianic expectations
[Most likely from the prophetic writings of Daniel]

The Bible often equates the presentation of God with some form of light
[Exod. 13:21; 24:17; Matt. 17:2; Rev. 1:16 etc]
Moses referred to the Messiah as “a star will come out of Jacob” Num.24:17c
Christ called HIMSELF “the Bright and Morning Star” Rev.22:16

Our Heavenly Father allowed the Magi to see HIS GLORY
Depicted through the star’s brilliant light over Bethlehem
They were privileged to see the star because they were
Really searching for the Saviour of the world

The star does not promote the belief in astrology
The star which the Magi saw represents the King of Kings

God’s great mercy is revealed here in
Giving them the privilege to see the baby JESUS
