I realize that you don't know me,
 you barely know my name.
Maybe in time you will see
 like you, I'm the same.

I move back, you move to,
 then we trade our part.
A simple silly dancing through
 to the music of our hearts.

Compounding the challenge of this dance,
 each day we're a little different.
We each could move from a new stance
 to the risk of being distant.

I may move a little faster,
 and then I'd scare you off.
I may lose you ever after,
 and joy be ever lost.

But for now, this is the frame
 of time that we stand in.
I will cling to the holy Name
 that I would not move in sin.

Is this the good, found in all things,
 as brother Paul has said?
If we care, what will it bring,
 one reason Jesus bled?

A little waiting, an act of kindness.
Selfless is the sage's heart.
Charity to heal a heart-held blindness.
What could His grace thus impart?

This is the good, found in Christ,
 this is the expected end:
The worst that could happen, by His Life,
 we'd be each other's friend.

Note: I may be saying this to someone I just met. I may be saying this to someone I've talked with for a while because I am not the same person when we last talked.

In either case it's an opportunity for a Christian to let the Lord bless any relationship by letting Him oversee those involved.
