Theres a river that leads to heaven,
Theres a river of eternal life.
In that river of sweet surrender,
When you take all your burdens to Christ.

Have you crossed the river of life.
Have you come to the cross,
Have you gave up the fight.)

Don't you see the angels singing,
Don't you hear the joious sound.
Don't you see the saints up yonder,
On heavens holy ground.

I've crossed the river of Jorden,
I've crossed the river of life.
I've crossed the river of Jorden,
Where theres no more strife.

Ch..
Come and cross the river of Jorden,
Come and cross the river of life.
Come and meet our dear Saviour,
Be forever in his blessed sight
